Good news! Heart, Head, Hands – A Guide for Citymakers has been named a must-read by Managementboek.nl for anyone working in urban development. A lovely recognition, and especially meaningful because the book appears alongside authors whose work I’ve read with great pleasure and admiration.

For anyone looking for inspiration, these are my personal favourites from the list:

Sharing the Vibe – Peter Kentie
A modern classic for anyone involved in city marketing or place branding. A sharp and inspiring look at how to position a place with creativity, boldness and long-term vision.

Van wie is de stad? – Floor Milikowski
A brilliant and beautifully written book. Her writing style is exceptional, and the content is as strong as the craft. It offers a powerful lens on the mechanisms behind urban inequality.

Je hebt ons niet ontdekt, wij waren hier altijd – Massih Hutak
I read this years ago and it stayed with me. An important and honest voice on who is seen, heard and recognised in the city. Essential reading for anyone shaping places that are not automatically ‘for everyone’.
