Paulius Dovidavicius from Vilnius, Lithuania

How would you describe its inhabitants?

Relentless, hard-working and pride driven people by day and Superhero’s by night!

The inhabitants of Vilnius always try to be perfect in everything, but being perfect is sometimes exhausting so they let off the steam by wandering through the streets and jumping from restaurants to a bars!

Why do you love your city?

Small enough to know all the little streets and corners, but big enough to find solitude in a rapid-paced capital city.

What’s the best place in your city and why?

A café called “Strange-Love”, in the heart of Vilnius, next to a public park, next to a river, next to an art school – the combination of all these aspects makes it my favorite place. And the café does really know how to make a proper double espresso!

What’s the biggest challenge your city is facing?

The business in Vilnius is booming, international companies including Nasdaq, Barclay, multiple Scandinavian banks and etc. are opening doors for the young, but sometimes it feels that our parents – the ones that actually fought for our independence are now being forgotten and mistreated.

Should we open a flexible office in your city? And if so, who would we be working for?

Vinted – arguably the best and most important Lithuanian start-up ever. Vinted is not only changing the overall perception of second hand clothing globally, but it also sparks some new ideas on sharing-economy and environmentalism.
